Argentina’s New Presidential Boeing 757 Begins Delivery Journey

-

On Wednesday May 17 the new Argentine Presidential aircraft, a Boeing 757-256 bearing the registration ARG 01, initiated its delivery journey to the South American nation’s capital.

Last April C&L Aerospace, a subsidiary of C&L Aviation Group, successfully completed the sale to the Argentine government of a Boeing 757 in VVIP configuration for presidential travel.

New Tango 01: C&L Aerospace Completes Sale of VVIP Boeing 757 to Argentine Government

The transaction, which involved the trade-in of the current presidential Boeing 757, also includes a $25 million loan approved by the Argentine government to finance the acquisition over ten years.

The new presidential aircraft is designed to accommodate up to 39 passengers and has a master suite and two additional bedrooms. The former Boeing 757-200, equipped with Rolls-Royce RB211 engines, will be offered for sale by C&L “in as-is condition.”

This Boeing 757, recently aquired by Argentina, took off from Salina Regional Airport, bound for Dallas/Fort Worth. It will subsequently fly to Miami, before ultimately reaching Buenos Aires.

The Mexican government offered its controversial Boeing 787, which is now owned by the government of Takijistan. Therefore, the replacement of the 757 also means retiring the previous Tango 01, which has been preserved at Palomar, home of the I Air Brigade of the Argentine Air Force, and that is part of the transaction.
