American Airlines ceases flights to San Andres Island

On Wednesday, May 3rd, American Airlines made its last scheduled flight to San Andres Island, Colombia. The carrier had two services a week in Embraer 175s with capacity for 76 passengers.

American bids farewell to the Colombian city after a year and a half, as operations began in December 2021. In addition, due to the termination of the airline, San Andres ceased to have non-stop connection with the United States.

Barranquilla, Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena, Medellin and Pereira will remain as American Airlines destinations in Colombia.
