EVA Air continues to restore its transpacific offering with the introduction of a third daily flight on the Taipei (TPE) – San Francisco (SFO) route starting May 15. The Taiwanese airline is the largest carrier in this segment in terms of seat capacity, where it competes with United Airlines and China Airlines.

The company will offer 13,986 seats per week on this service, representing an increase of 47.8% compared to the previous season, thus recovering its pre-pandemic capacity. EVA Air becomes the leading foreign carrier in the San Francisco (SFO) transpacific market in terms of ASK by mid-May, according to Cirium.

The additional flight will be operated in Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a capacity of 323 seats in three classes (38 Royal Laurel Class/64 Premium Economy/221 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 913 round trip. Beyond Taipei, the airline offers connections to Manila (MNL), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Bangkok (BKK), Jakarta (CGK), Hanoi (HAN), Denpasar (DPS), Hong Kong (HKG) and Mainland China.
According to data obtained from U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) statistics, 1,001,137 passengers were mobilized between San Francisco (SFO) and Taipei (TPE) in 2019, making it SFO’s main transpacific route in terms of passenger traffic.
EVA Air’s North American network has non-stop services to Houston – Intercontinental (IAH), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle – Tacoma (SEA), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR).
