Brazil and Venezuela are once again connected by scheduled flights

On April 13, Conviasa started its services between Puerto Ordaz (PZO) and Manaus (MAO), the state-owned airline becomes the first airline to reconnect Venezuela and Brazil with non-stop flights since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.

V0 4930 took off from Manuel Piar International Airport (PZO) with 98 passengers with a load factor of 94.2% to Eduardo Gomes Airport (MAO). This new service of the Venezuelan company offers connections to Caracas (CCS) and Porlamar (PMV).

Present at the celebration of this new route were Ernesto Luna, Governor of Monagas State; Angel Marcano, Governor of Bolivar State, press personnel and employees of the airline and the airport.

Conviasa Manaus

With a weekly flight our flag carrier Conviasa started operations between Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela and Manaus, Brazil. Facilitating the tourist and commercial exchange between both nations“, said Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, President of Conviasa.

Previously, Conviasa operated on a regular basis to Manaus (MAO) between 2013 and 2018 with non-stop service from Porlamar (PMV). The new service of the state-owned airline boosts the connectivity of the east of the country, the last international flight that Puerto Ordaz (PZO) had was in 2016.

Conviasa’s schedule to Manaus

  • Puerto Ordaz – Manaus Flight V0 4930 PZO 12:30 – MAO 14:40 Thursday.
  • Manaus – Puerto Ordaz Flight V0 4931 MAO 15:40 – PZO 17:50 Thursday.

The route is operated in Embraer 190 aircraft with capacity of 104 passengers in single economy class configuration and promotional fares are available from 228 USD each way.

Conviasa’s international network has services to Cancun (CUN), Havana (HAV), Lima (LIM), Managua (MGA), Manaus (MAO), Moscow – Vnukovo (VKO), St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD), Mexico City – St. Lucia (NLU), Tehran (IKA), Santa Cruz de la Viru Viru (VVI) and soon Damascus (DAM).
