American Airlines to boost flights between Miami and Rio de Janeiro

American Airlines announced that it will increase the frequency of its flights between Miami and Rio de Janeiro beginning December 5th. Currently, the company has one service per day on the 234-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

According to the reservation system and the Cirium platform, American will fly 10 times a week to Galeao airport from the U.S. city. This schedule will remain in place throughout the 2023/2024 high season.

  • The carrier will resume seasonal services between New York and Rio de Janeiro from the end of October.
  • AA Flight 985/988 will run until early March 2024.
