American Airlines is expanding its service to Dublin (DUB) during the northern winter season due to strong passenger demand between the United States and Ireland. The airline will extend seasonal route operations from Dallas (DFW) and Charlotte (CLT), and for the first time it will have three daily flights to the Irish capital during the winter.
The airline is the leading U.S. carrier in Dublin (DUB) and through its partner Aer Lingus passengers can access its short/medium haul network and connect to more destinations in Europe. For the summer season, American will offer 14,364 seats per week between the U.S. and Ireland.
«This welcome expansion is evidence of the strong demand for transatlantic travel between Dublin Airport and North America. Demand has steadily increased over the past 15 months following the easing of COVID-19 travel restrictions and we anticipate that other summer-only transatlantic routes will soon also become year-round services» said Vincent Harrison, Dublin Airport’s commercial and development director.
