Aerolíneas Argentinas presented its first Boeing 737 cargo aircraft

-

Aerolíneas Argentinas presented this Wednesday (19) its first Boeing 737-800 freighter, which arrived in the country at the end of February from Dothan, United States. The presentation was attended by Eduardo «Wado» de Pedro, Diego Giuliano, Pablo Ceriani and the main authorities of the aeronautical field and the industry in general.

The aircraft has the necessary features for cargo operations, such as smoke detection, hydraulic cargo door and full opening for the entry of vehicles, machinery and containers.

This is an important event for the company, as it is the first time in 16 years that Aerolíneas Argentinas has had a pure freighter in its fleet. The closest precedent was during the private management of Marsans in a short period of time between the end of 2005 and 2007.

The Boeing 737 freighter will start working immediately thanks to the agreement that the airline signed with the company Mirgor. This contract establishes the use of the aircraft during half of the day for the logistic transfer of supplies and products marketed by the private company and the rest of the time it will be available for the direct operation of Aerolíneas Argentinas Cargo.
