UK Vacations: TUI Airways Adds 150,000 Seats for its Winter Schedule

TUI Airways is adding more than 150,000 seats for UK customers to its 2023 winter schedule. The leisure airline with this increase will cater to strong demand to sun destinations in North Africa.

The airline will increase its flights from Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle and London Gatwick to Egypt and Cape Verde, as well as offering new routes and more travel options for holidaymakers.

«At TUI, we offer unrivaled choice and flexibility for travel to 180 destinations worldwide, flying from 20 UK airports, our growing TUI Cities program and our own concepts such as TUI Blue, as well as Marella Cruises, TUI River Cruises and Crystal Ski, and the current news further confirms this,» said Andrew Flintham, managing director of TUI UK.

Egypt

The leisure airline will have a new Marsa Alam and London Gatwick route and will offer a weekly flight from Manchester, Newcastle and London Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh. TUI will add more than 80,000 seats in Egypt for the 2023 winter season.

Cape Verde

TUI landed in Cape Verde in 2005, since then it has catered to the strong demand from British travelers to this destination and for this winter will provide more than 45,000 additional seats. The company will increase its operations between Boa Vista and Manchester to three weekly flights and one weekly frequency from Newcastle, Glasgow and the East Midlands to Sal.

Tunisia

TUI is strengthening its presence in Tunisia by adding more than 15,000 seats on weekly flights to Enfidha from Bristol, Gatwick, Manchester, and Birmingham, starting Easter 2024. It will also increase its operations between Enfidha and Newcastle by February next year.

Morocco

Morocco has become one of the leisure company’s most popular holiday destinations. To meet growing demand, TUI will offer additional flights by Easter 2024 on the Agadir – Birmingham and Marrakech – Birmingham/Bristol routes to offer travelers convenient package vacations.

«Our North African destinations have gone from strength to strength with UK customers and remain a very important part of our comprehensive vacation program. I am really pleased to be able to offer customers more choice with 150 000 more seats for winter 2023 to amazing destinations,» Flintham added.
