On March 1 Canada Jetlines began its first scheduled operations in Mexico with flights between Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) and Cancun (CUN). The Canadian company is the seventh airline operator in this segment where it will compete with leisure, full service and low-cost airlines.
Flight AU 502 was operated in an Airbus A320 registered with the registration number C-GCJL, which took off from Lester Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 07:03 local time and landed at Cancun Airport (CUN) at 11:00, after three hours and 57 minutes.

Canada Jetlines Toronto – Cancun flight schedule
- Toronto/Pearson – Cancun Flight AU 502 YYZ 06:45 – CUN 10:50 Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
- Cancun – Toronto/Pearson Flight AU 503 CUN 14:40 – YYZ 18:45 Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Cancun (CUN) is the main market in Mexico for Canadian travelers, due to strong tourist demand. Currently, the main city in the state of Quintana Roo is connected to 18 cities in Canada with a capacity of 99,143 seats per week via air.
Canada Jetlines joins the 58 airlines that offer scheduled and charter services at Cancun International Airport (CUN) and offer connections to more than 120 cities worldwide.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), 546,583 passengers were mobilized in 2022 between Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) and Cancun (CUN) in 3,039 operations. The new low-cost airline competes in this segment with Air Canada, WestJet, Air Transat, Sunwing, Swoop and Flair Airlines.
Mexico is the second international market where Canada Jetlines offers scheduled services, the company currently offers flights in the United States with operations to Las Vegas (LAS) and soon to Orlando – Melbourne (MLB).
