Lufthansa unveiled its Boeing 787-9 schedule for the 2023 summer season: the carrier’s new aircraft will be based in Frankfurt (FRA) and will fly to five destinations in the United States and Canada.
The airline’s first five Dreamliners will seat 294 passengers in three classes (26 Business Class/21 Premium Economy/247 Economy). The soon-to-be-delivered aircraft will feature the airline’s new Allegris products.
Flight schedule
Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)
From March 26.
- Frankfurt – Dallas/Fort Worth Flight LH 438 FRA 10:10 – DFW 13:40 daily flights except Tuesdays.
- Dallas/Fort Worth – Frankfurt Flight LH 439 DFW 15:40 – FRA 08:15+1 daily flights except Tuesdays.
Montreal (YUL)
Starting March 26 with four flights weekly, then increasing to daily flights on May 1.
- Frankfurt – Montreal Flight LH 446 FRA 13:15 – YUL 16:05 daily flights.
- Montreal – Frankfurt Flight LH 447 YUL 18:05 – FRA 07:05+1 daily flights.
Denver (DEN)
From May 1st.
- Frankfurt – Denver Flight LH 446 FRA 13:15 – DEN 15:40 daily flights.
- Denver – Frankfurt Flight LH 447 DEN 17:35 – FRA 11:10+1 daily flights.
Austin (AUS)
From May 2.
- Frankfurt – Austin Flight LH 468 FRA 10:05 – AUS 13:55 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
- Austin – Frankfurt Flight LH 469 AUS 16:00 – FRA 08:45+1 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
In the current winter schedule, the Dreamliner will operate between Frankfurt (FRA) and Detroit (DTW) with six weekly flights. The service with the Boeing 787-9 will be maintained on this route during the summer season.
The German airline began its first intercontinental operations with the Dreamliner in December last year with a service to Newark (EWR). The Lufthansa Group currently has a fleet of three Boeing 787-9s and expects to take delivery of two more in the upcoming weeks. By 2027, the company will take delivery of a total of 32 new Dreamliners, which will replace its older widebody aircraft.
