PLAY Airlines will land for the first time in Canada with a new service between Reykjavik (KEF) and Hamilton, Ontario (YHM) starting June 22. The low-cost airline will be the third carrier to offer flights between Iceland and the Greater Toronto Area.
This new route will offer convenient connections to 15 destinations in Europe including popular cities such as London, Paris, Copenhagen, Brussels, Dublin, Stockholm and Berlin at affordable fares. Operations to North America have exceeded the airline’s expectations. The low-cost carrier will offer the only transatlantic service to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM).
Flight Itinerary
- Reykjavik – Toronto/Hamilton Flight OG 201 KEF 14:50 – YHM 17:10 daily flights.
- Toronto/Hamilton – Reykjavik Flight OG 202 YHM 18:35 – KEF 04:20+1 daily flights.
The route will be operated on Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft seating 180 and 192 passengers respectively and promotional fares are available from EUR 129 each way.

In 2022, PLAY mobilized more than 800,000 passengers between Europe and the U.S. For the 2023 summer season, the low-cost airline will offer five transatlantic services to Baltimore (BWI), Boston (BOS), New York – Stewart (SWF), Washington – Dulles (IAD) and Toronto – Hamilton (YHM).
