Frontier Airlines launched five new routes from Phoenix – Sky Harbor

This week, Frontier Airlines launched five new routes from Phoenix – Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) to Nashville (BNA), Kansas City (MCI), Seattle – Tacoma (SEA), Minneapolis (MSP) and Indianapolis (IND). The company offers promotional fares starting at $39 each way.

The first new service this year was flight F9 2962 operated on an Airbus A320neo registered N236FR, which took off from Phoenix (PHX) at 06:38 local time on January 5 and landed at Nashville International Airport (BNA) at 10:15, after two hours and 37 minutes.

«Frontier is proud of our strong Phoenix operation and is thrilled to add these exciting destinations to our growing list of PHX flights,» said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president commercial of Frontier Airlines.

«Our new crew base at PHX allows us to offer more Arizonans ‘low fares done right’ to an ever-growing list of destinations,» Shrurz added.

According to data obtained through Cirium, Frontier will have a January offering of 54,940 weekly seats and will serve 24 nonstop services from Phoenix (PHX). The airline is the second-largest low-cost carrier in PHX in terms of seats per seat kilometers (ASK) offered.

Frontier’s new route schedules at Phoenix (PHX)

  • Nashville (BNA): Thursday and Sunday.
  • Indianapolis (IND): Monday and Friday.
  • Minneapolis (MSP): Monday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Kansas City (MCI): Thursday and Sunday.
  • Seattle – Tacoma (SEA): Monday, Thursday and Friday.
