ITA Airways is expanding its intercontinental network with a new non-stop service between Rome – Fiumicino (FCO) and Rio de Janeiro (GIG) starting October 29, tickets are already available for sale. With this route, the airline will offer two destinations in Brazil and three in South America.

«The opening of the Rio de Janeiro destination is part of the development and growth strategies of our Company’s intercontinental offer,» said Emiliana Limosani, ITA Airways Commercial Director and General Manager Volare.

Last year, the Italian airline landed for the first time in South America with non-stop services to Sao Paulo – Guarulhos (GRU) and Buenos Aires (EZE) where it quickly consolidated its position in the market replacing Alitalia.
