On January 10, American Airlines inaugurated its non-stop flights between Austin (AUS) and Memphis (MEM). The Dallas-based airline will now offer 32 domestic destinations from the Texas state capital and will be the only carrier to offer this service.

Flight AA3523, operated by American Eagle in an Embraer E175 registered as N282NNN, took off from Memphis International Airport (MEM) at 19:50 local time and landed at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at 21:10, after one hour and 19 minutes.

«We are excited and grateful for American Airlines’ continued growth at MEM,» said Michael Keeney, chairman of the Memphis-Shelby County Board of County Commissioners.
