Aerolineas Argentinas Flight Deviates After Tyre Burst: Details and Updates

This afternoon, January 26, an Aerolineas Argentinas Embraer E190-AR landed at Ezeiza International Airport after deviating from its original destination, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery.

The aircraft, registration LV-CHR, was covering the route between Iguazu Airport (Misiones) and Buenos Aires City operating flight AR1731. Upon takeoff from Iguazu, the presence of rubber was detected on the runway, a situation that was reported to the crew.

According to company sources, after analyzing the situation and informing the technical crew, it was decided to perform a normal landing procedure at Ezeiza airport. The aeronautical authority (ANAC) determined the activation of the emergency protocol as a preventive measure.

The aircraft landed safely at 5:38 p.m. (GMT-3), and the 95 passengers were deplaned on the runway to lighten the aircraft for the transfer to the hangar area. The aircraft will receive the pertinent inspections and have its tires, which were severely damaged, changed.
