JetSMART launches its fifth route to Brazil

-

JetSMART announced on Tuesday the launch of its fifth route to Brazil, which will connect Santiago de Chile with Sao Paulo/Guarulhos.

Ticketing opened on Tuesday, with the inaugural flight scheduled for April 3, 2023. JetSMART will operate five weekly flights between Santiago and São Paulo, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

«Brazil is a very important market for us. And in the particular case, Sao Paulo is known as the business capital. Large corporations and multinationals with close relations with Chile are present. This makes the synergies between both markets high and that is why we wanted to make this route a reality, to be able to reach with tickets at ultra-low prices to all those who want to travel for business, but especially SMEs and entrepreneurs who need to fly to Brazil,» said Estuardo Ortiz, CEO of JetSMART.

«As we increase connectivity and launch new routes, the closer we get to the goal of 100 million passengers carried and a fleet of 100 aircraft by 2028. All in all, our commitment to bring aviation closer to all South Americans remains steadfast,» he added.

The connection between Santiago and Sao Paulo joins the other routes that JetSMART already operates to the Brazilian giant: Santiago – Rio de Janeiro; Santiago – Foz de Iguazu; Buenos Aires – Rio de Janeiro; and Montevideo – Rio de Janeiro.

In total, the ultra low-cost airline already operates 16 international routes linking Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay, in addition to the 76 domestic routes in Chile, Argentina and Peru, to which will be added during 2023 the routes it operates with its Colombian subsidiary.
