Iberia presented its outlook for 2023, in which it seeks to strengthen its current destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean starting next summer, after having recovered its flights to Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Brazil, and Caracas (CCS), Venezuela.

According to what the airline stated in a meeting with the media that took place in Madrid, they plan to have approximately 260 weekly flights between Spain and Latin America, a figure 5% higher than the pre-pandemic figure, highlighting a third daily service to Bogota (BOG), Colombia, and the recovery of the second daily flight to Lima (LIM), Peru. Iberia highlights having recovered 95% of its capacity during the third quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2019, and estimates that it will close 2022 at 85%.

However, the company does not plan for the moment to recover its flights to Medellín/Rionegro (MDE), the only destination in Latin America and the Caribbean to which it has not yet returned.
