Estelar schedules flights between Venezuela and Colombia

Estelar schedules flights between Caracas (CCS) and Bogota (BOG) starting December 28, 2022, it is the second airline to operate in the Colombian-Venezuelan market. The Colombian capital will be the company’s second international destination, complementing its operations in Panama – Tocumen (PTY).

Recently, in a meeting between the governments of Colombia and Venezuela, the number of airlines to operate between the two countries was increased and it is expected that a Colombian airline will join soon.

Flight Schedule

  • Caracas – Bogota Flight ES 8547 CCS 16:00 – BOG 17:00 Wednesday and Friday.
  • Bogota – Caracas Flight ES 8546 BOG 18:30 – CCS 21:20 Wednesday and Friday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 737-300 with a capacity of 148 passengers and promotional fares are available from USD 380 round trip. Tickets are already on sale through the airline’s website and its regular channels.

Estelar’s domestic network offers services to Caracas (CCS), Puerto Ordaz (PZO), El Vigía (VIG), Santo Domingo del Táchira (STD), El Vigía (VIG), Barinas (BNS), Porlamar (PMV), Maturín (MUN), Maracaibo (MAR) and Canaima (CAJ).

Currently, the only company operating between Caracas (CCS) and  Bogota (BOG) is Turpial Airlines with two weekly flights in Boeing 737. In November of this year, the Colombian state-owned airline SATENA made a charter flight between the Colombian and Venezuelan capitals, commemorating the opening of borders between both nations.

As from December 31, 2022, according to the announcements of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), the PCR test will no longer be mandatory for entry into Venezuela, passengers must present their vaccination certificate (complete vaccination schedule) against COVID-19 and must use a mask during the flight.
