Aeromexico exits Chapter 11 proceedings

-

AeroMexico Group reported that today (26), the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York issued a final decree closing the Chapter 11 cases of the Company and its subsidiaries Aerovías de México, Aerolitoral and Aerovías Empresa de Carg, collectively the «Recovered Debtors».

As reported by our media partner Aeroin, given that the Recovery Plan of the Recovered Debtors, which became fully effective on March 17, 2022, has been substantially fulfilled and distributions on account of nearly 100 percent of all eligible allowed claims have been made, the Bankruptcy Court determined that entry of the Final Decree was appropriate.

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Sainz Abogados SC served as legal counsel to Aeroméxico, Rothschild & Co. served as financial counsel and AlixPartners, LLP served as restructuring counsel to the Company.
