After playing a friendly match in the United Arab Emirates, the Argentine national soccer team is returning to Qatar on A6-FKA, which carries images of the Argentine team on its livery.
The plane, a Boeing 737-8 MAX, flew earlier in the day from Doha to Dubai and then returned with the squad that played its last preparatory match before the start of the World Cup. In this match, they beat the local team 5-0.
The National Team will play its first match on Tuesday, November 22, when it will face Saudi Arabia in the first match of Group C, which also includes Poland and Mexico.
The A6-FKA first flew in August 2022 and is one of the first that flydubai took delivery of following the refurbishment of the Boeing 737 MAX globally.
Sources close to the operation report that flydubai’s entire crew for the flight is Argentinian: another reason for the team to feel closer to home.
