Tropic Air increases its flights to San Salvador

Tropic Air will increase its operations between Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City and El Salvador San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport (SAL) in San Salvador, starting December 17, 2022.

The airline will increase from 4 to 5 flights per week and will have an offer of 190 seats per week, the Salvadoran capital will be the destination with the largest capacity of the airline in Central America.

Flight Itinerary

  • Belize City – San Salvador Flight 9N 5500 BZE 15:00 – SAL 16:00 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
  • San Salvador – Belize City Flight 9N 5501 SAL 17:00 – BZE 18:00 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The route will be operated in Beechcraft 1900D aircraft with a capacity of 19 passengers and promotional fares are available from USD 250 one way.

Tropic Air is Belize’s largest airline with a fleet of 14 Cessna Caravans, two Cessna 182Ts and one Beechcraft 1900D, offering 28,628 weekly seats and serving 8 domestic and 4 international destinations.

  • San Pedro Sula, Honduras (SAP): two weekly flights on Beechcraft 1900D.
  • Roatan, Honduras (RTB): four weekly flights in Cessna Caravan.
  • San Salvador (SAL): five weekly flights in Beechcraft 1900D.
  • Cancun (CUN): Beechcraft 1900D in Beechcraft 1900D.
  • Guatemala City (GUA): daily flights (operated under codeshare with TAG Airlines).
