#TBT: Aerolíneas Argentinas flights to Europe in 1979

-

In the mid-1970s, Aerolíneas Argentinas incorporated its first Boeing 747s, mainly focused on flights to the United States and Europe, which were operated at the time on Boeing 707 aircraft.

Aerolíneas Argentinas was the first company in the country to acquire these jets, which remained active until 2008 in the case of the Boeing 747-200 and 2012 considering the Boeing 747-400.

During May 1979, Aerolíneas Argentinas’ network in Europe consisted of Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Rome, Paris and Zurich from the Argentine capital. In addition, Córdoba had its weekly non-stop connection with the Spanish city.

Aerolineas Argentinas’ complete European network – 1979

Madrid and Rome are the Argentine company’s current destinations in Europe, both to and from Ezeiza.

As we published in another #TBT article, Rosario also had its connection with Europe during 1981. The operations were carried out by Aerolineas Argentinas with Boeing 747 aircraft.
