Viva Aerobus makes the first flight with its Raiders livery aircraft

This Thursday (15), Viva Aerobus made its first flight in the aircraft with the special livery of the Raider Nation: recently the low-cost airline was named as the official airline of the Las Vegas Raider and with this aircraft reaffirms its commitment to the team.

The Airbus A320-200 registered with the registration XA-VAK bearing the iconic Raider livery, took off from Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) at 08:23 local time and landed at Harry Reid Airport (LAS) at 09:40. The flight lasted 3 hours and 18 minutes.

The arrival of the aircraft coincides with Mexico’s Independence Day celebrations, reinforcing the message of solidarity between fans of both countries. In this context, and to celebrate the first commercial flight of the XA-VAK, the rock band The Warning entertained the trip from Mexico City (MEX) to Las Vegas (LAS), and the Raiders sent a surprise gift to all passengers.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Federal Civil Aeronautics Agency (AFAC), 734,435 passengers were mobilized in 5,506 air operations in 2019 between Harry Reid Airport and Mexico. Las Vegas is one of the top destinations in the United States for Mexican travelers.

Currently, the low-cost airline offers two non-stop services to Las Vegas (LAS) from Mexico City (MEX) and Monterrey (MTY), it also has an offer of 4,416 seats per week in 22 air operations between Harry Reid Airport and the Aztec country:

Mexico City (MEX) – Las Vegas (LAS)
  • Flight VB 112 MEX 10:35 – LAS 12:30 daily flights.
  • Flight VB 113 LAS 13:40 – MEX 19:30 daily flights.
Monterrey (MTY) – Las Vegas (LAS)
  • Flight VB 602 MTY 11:35 – LAS 12:40 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Flight VB 603 LAS 13:50 – MTY 19:00 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
