Mexico: Viva Aerobus secures the leasing of two additional Airbus A321neo

-

Griffin Global Asset Management confirmed the purchase and lease delivery of two Airbus A321neo aircraft to Viva Aerobus, the Mexico-based low-cost airline. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery during September 2022.

«We are pleased to support the growth of Viva Aerobus by financing these two new A321neos. Viva continues to offer a leading product in the Mexican market and these aircraft will help expand its route network in the future,» said Michael Lombardi, Griffin’s Vice President of Marketing.

«We are very pleased to take delivery of two more Airbus A321neo. Thanks to partners like Griffin, our growth strategy continues steadily to open new nonstop services operated with state-of-the-art aircraft, low fares and unmatched service,» mentioned Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus. «Viva has the most modern fleet in Mexico and the third youngest in North America.»

The operator, which a few days ago presented its first frequent flyer loyalty program called Doters and to which it expects to add three million members during the first year, has 59 active aircraft in its exclusive Airbus fleet: 37 A320s (17 neo, 20 -200) and 22 A321s (13 neo, 9 -200).
