Azul Linhas Aéreas will operate flights between Foz do Iguaçu and Montevideo starting December 20th. Both cities will be connected again after more than 8 years.
The Brazilian company will fly twice a week with Embraer 195 aircraft, offering 236 weekly seats per leg.
At time of publication, Azul will have seven routes in Uruguay, including Montevideo and Punta del Este during the summer season.

- BQB was the last company to operate between Foz do Iguaçu and Montevideo.
- The Uruguayan city will be Foz do Iguaçu’s third international destination, after Lima and Santiago de Chile. JetSMART will resume flights to and from the Chilean capital in mid-December.
