Venezuela: Maduro affirms that the route between Miami and Caracas will be reopened «soon».

-

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said today in an event broadcast live on state television.

Maduro made these statements in the framework of a comparison between the beaches of the U.S. city and La Guaira, a municipality near Caracas and where the Simón Bolívar International Airport of Maiquetía is located. «La Guaira beats Miami in beauty, extension, services, entertainment…. Why would you go there? Let the mayameros (sic – referring to Miami residents) come by.»

«Soon we are going to open flights from Miami to Maiquetía so that they can come and enjoy La Guaira. They come during the day, take a bath and then leave and it is cheaper than going to the beaches of Miami», he added.

This is a developing story.
