United Airlines to fly to Guatemala with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft

United Airlines will operate flights to Guatemala City for the first time with Boeing 737 MAX 8. The aircraft are configured with 166 seats in two classes.

Houston and Newark will be the United Airlines routes to Guatemala that will be served by the MAXs as of October 31st.

Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington will continue on Boeing 737-800s.

Frequencies and aircraft used – United Airlines in Guatemala

  • Chicago (ORD): 1 weekly flight – Boeing 737-800
  • Houston (IAH): 21 weekly flights – Boeing 737-800 (current)
  • Los Angeles (LAX): 5 weekly flights – Boeing 737-800
  • Newark (EWR): 4 weekly flights – Boeing 737-800 (current)
  • Washington (IAD): 4 weekly flights – Boeing 737-800

At press time, Boeing 737 MAX 8s are scheduled for November. Boeing 737-800s may return in December.
