Spirit returns to Nicaragua with flights from Fort Lauderdale

-

Spirit Airlines will resume scheduled flights between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Managua (MGA) on 30 November, marking its return to Nicaragua after more than 30 months since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The ultra low-cost carrier will operate a daily flight between the two cities, offering connections to 26 cities via Fort Lauderdale: Aguadilla, Atlanta, Atlantic City, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago-ORD, Cleveland, Dallas-DFW, Detroit, Houston-IAH, Indianapolis, New York-LGA, Latrobe, Louisville, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Newark, Orlando, Philadephia, Richmond, San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Louis and Tampa. This will bring back a key level of connectivity between Nicaragua and the United States for tourists and business people as well as those visiting family and friends.

«We’re eager to welcome back our Nicaraguan Guests and excited to make travel to and from Managua accessible for families, friends, and visitors again,» said Camilo Martelo, Director of International Stations. «We have a 15-year history serving Nicaragua and are proud to give South Florida and Managua back the affordable fares and signature service they’ve come to know when traveling between our countries.»

With Managua, Spirit Airlines now serves 29 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. By November, according to information obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Spirit will have a weekly offer of 171,554 seats on 947 flights to and from the region.
