Embraer joins forces with VOAR to provide maintenance at Congonhas

-

Embraer has partnered with VOAR Aviation to offer unscheduled maintenance for the manufacturer’s business jets at São Paulo’s Congonhas airport. The Brazilian giant thus continues to strengthen its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for Brazil’s growing business aviation sector.

Frank Stevens, vice president of global MRO centers at Embraer Services & Support, said that «this agreement with VOAR will help our expansion in Brazil. We will be closer to our customers and we will have a presence in the country’s most important airport for business aviation». Alessandra Abrão, CEO of VOAR Aviation, added that for the company, «partnering with Embraer makes a lot of sense. A large number of our company’s aircraft use our facilities».

This partnership with VOAR came less than two months after Embraer inaugurated the new hangars at the Sorocaba Service Center, in the interior of São Paulo, doubling its usable area. The unit, which celebrated eight years of operation in March 2022, now has four hangars. The Sorocaba center offers a complete portfolio of maintenance services, interior refurbishment, airport services, assistance, and aircraft maintenance. It also has certified workshops for various aeronautical components and has the capacity to perform aircraft modifications, such as the conversion of the Legacy 450 to the Praetor 500.

Everton Vicente, general manager of MRO and FBO at Embraer Services & Support, noted that «Embraer’s main objective is to offer many services at Congonhas Airport. In this way, we can improve our service’s agility, with local teams and a greater network integration».
