Alex Antilla has been appointed vice president for Delta Air Lines’ Latin American operations. He will be in charge of overseeing the airline’s commercial strategy for Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. He will also oversee the progress of the airline’s partnerships with LATAM Group and Aeromexico. Antilla will be based at the airline’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile.

Alain Bellemare, Delta’s president, showed his support for the new leader, who has been at the airline for almost two decades. «Alex’s experience will be critical as we continue to expand our international network and our product offering. His leadership will also help strengthen our partnerships with LATAM and Aeromexico,» Bellemare said.

Antilla has been with the airline for 16 years. In that time he has worked in the transpacific, transatlantic, and Latin American divisions of Delta. Prior to his appointment as vice president, he served as general manager of pricing and revenue management for Latin America. He has also worked in the network planning, and sales and alliances divisions.
