As part of the Farnborough Air Show 2022, UK, BBAM Limited Partnership (BBAM) has announced a firm order for nine Boeing 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF). The agreement brings the company’s order for 737-800BCFs to 40.
BBAM will be the first customer to take delivery of a 737-800BCF converted at KF Aerospace’s new line located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, which is scheduled to open next year.
«We continue to extend the service life of the 737-800s in our fleet and support strong customer demand by further growing our 737-800BCF order backlog,» said John Lynch, Senior Vice President, Head of Cargo Programs at BBAM.
BBAM has already delivered seven BCF aircraft to five carriers in Canada, China, Malaysia and Georgia.
«By accepting conversion slots at KF Aerospace in Canada, we are pleased to leverage Boeing’s global network of conversion lines to offer our customers convenience and flexibility by being where they need us,» Lynch concluded.
The 737-800BCF has more than 250 orders and commitments from more than 20 customers to date, and more than 90 deliveries. The aircraft has a payload capacity of up to 23.9 tons (52,800 pounds) with a range of 2,025 nautical miles (3,750 km).
