Embraer displayed the cabin of its eVTOL Eve at Farnborough 2022

FARNBOROUGH, Reino Unido- United Kingdom- Eve unveiled today at the Farnborough Air Show its first 1:1 scale mock-up of the eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle) cockpit, which it expects to enter service in 2026. The mock-up will be presented at Embraer’s “Fly the Future” exhibit, along with the manufacturer’s sustainable aircraft concepts.

“This mock-up brilliantly materializes the cockpit concept we have been co-creating with potential users for years. We have recently received feedback from our advisory board, and now we will be able to show it to other interested parties here at the Farnborough Air Show. Our solutions were designed with essential market needs in mind, such as accessibility, safety, sustainability and ticket price. It is always exciting when we reach this stage of the program,” said Flavia Ciaccia, Eve’s Vice President of User Experience.

Along with the mock-up experience, visitors will also be able to explore the external features of the eVTOL through augmented reality technology.
As part of the product’s ongoing development, the company also unveiled the vehicle’s current design, which uses a conventional wing and tail instead of the previous canard configuration. The eight rotors are attached around the wing, providing vertical takeoff and landing capability, as well as safety and reliability in a simple and intuitive lift-plus-cruise design.
