Cayman Airways has launched its new nonstop service between Grand Cayman (CGM) and Los Angeles (LAX) with a weekly frequency. To celebrate the launch, the airline will offer an attractive introductory fare special for roundtrip flights booked before August 8.
This new route will be the only non-stop connection between the Caribbean and the West Coast of the United States, this flight will last approximately 5.5 hours, this operation will begin on November 5, 2022 and will be available year-round.
«I am delighted that Cayman Airways is entering the market with a strong launch offering,» said Kenneth Bryan, Minister of Tourism and Transport.
«Since this new route to the City of Los Angeles was announced, there has been a great deal of interest, particularly from the tourism and business communities. I am confident that both the service and the competitive fares will be well received and I encourage travelers to book early to ensure availability,» added Bryan.
This service will play an important role in encouraging travelers from the western United States to visit the Caribbean, and this new route to Los Angeles (LAX) enhances connectivity for those traveling to and from Southeast Asia, enabling more connections to the Cayman Islands.
Flight Itinerary
- Grand Cayman – Los Angeles Flight KX 480 GCM 16:45 – LAX 21:00 Saturday.
- Los Angeles – Grand Cayman Flight KX 481 LAX 08:00 – GCM 17:00 Sunday.
The flights will be operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a 160-seat capacity in two classes (16 Business Class/144 Economy), from the airline’s website promotional fares are available starting at $236.55 USD each way.

With this new non-stop connection to Los Angeles (LAX), Cayman Airways will offer five U.S. destinations including New York (JFK), Miami (MIA), Tampa (TPA) operating year-round and seasonal service to Denver (DEN).
