Iberojet inaugurates flights between Barcelona and Punta Cana

On Monday June 27, Iberojet inaugurated its second long-haul destination from Barcelona (BCN) with a non-stop service from Punta Cana (PUJ) with two weekly flights, this is the company’s third route in the Dominican Republic.

Flight EVE 841 was operated by a Wamos Air Airbus A330-300 registered with registration EC-NHM: the aircraft took off at 19:44 from El Prat Airport (BCN) and landed at 22:20 at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through La Junta de Aviación (JAC) in 2021, Iberojet mobilized 41,177 passengers in Dominican Republic.

Flight Itinerary

  • Barcelona – Punta Cana Flight EVE 841 BCN 17:45 – PUJ 20:40 Monday and Saturday.
  • Punta Cana – Barcelona Flight EVE 842 PUJ 22:40 – BCN 13:15+1 Monday and Saturday.

Wamos Air’s Airbus A330-300s have a 375-seat capacity in single configuration and promotional fares are available from 350 euros each way. This new service will be seasonal and will be available until September 12.

According to data compiled by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas, between December 2021 and April 2022, between Barcelona (BCN) and Punta Cana (PUJ) 7,399 passengers and 13.45 tons of cargo were mobilized in 41 air operations.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Cirum platform, the Ávoris airline will have an offer of 30,824 monthly seats to Punta Cana (PUJ) through three routes:

  • Madrid (MAD) five weekly flights on Airbus A350-900.
  • Lisbon (LIS) one weekly flight on Airbus A330-900neo.
  • Barcelona (BCN) two weekly flights on Airbus A330-300 (operated by Wamos Air).
