Azores inaugurates flights between Lajes and New York

At 10:19 p.m. local time on Monday, June 20th, the inaugural Azores Airlines flight from Lajes, Portugal, landed at New York’s JFK airport. Operations will be carried out with Airbus A321neo aircraft, configured for 186 or 190 passengers.

Azores will have a weekly frequency on the above-mentioned route, offering 744 seats per month on each leg.

Lajes is the second destination of Azores Airlines in New York.

In addition to the Lisbon – Lajes – New York route, as part of its development in the United States and Canada, Azores Airlines resumed its flights to Montreal and Oakland from Portugal at early June.
