Air Europa announced that it will return to pre-pandemic levels in Argentina and Paraguay in June by increasing its flights to Cordoba (COR) and Asuncion (ASU) from four to six flights per week.
This increase in frequency is part of Air Europa’s expansion of capacity on its routes to the Americas, a region where it expects to progressively reach pre-pandemic levels.
To this end, and as part of the new stage of growth and expansion in which Air Europa finds itself after completing its transformation process, eleven new aircraft will be incorporated throughout this year, five of them Boeing 787 Dreamliner long-haul aircraft, with which the unification and consolidation of the fleet will be reinforced.
Flights to Cordoba and Asuncion will be operated on Boeing 787-8 aircraft for 296 passengers and Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 333 seats, representing a 7.3% increase in seat supply compared to the same period in 2019, when they were operated on Airbus A330s.
During the first four months of 2022 (January-April), the company transported between Madrid and Asunción 30,712 passengers according to AENA. On the other hand, between Asunción and Córdoba it transported 15,077 passengers, which includes passengers to and from Paraguay and Spain, according to ANAC Argentina.
