Venezuela eases entry requirements and adds Iran to safe travel list

Venezuela’s National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) announced new mandatory entry regulations for entry to Venezuela by air. These provisions will be effective as of May 30.

  1. At origin:
  • Certificate of vaccination (complete scheme) against COVID-19, in physical or digital format with QR code or other validation method, whose last dose was at least 14 days before the date of entry into the country. Having completed more than 270 days after the last dose of the complete scheme, a booster dose will be required.
  • The passenger who does not present the referred vaccination schedule, must show a negative result of a molecular test (PCR-RT) with a maximum validity of 72 hours upon arrival.

2. During all phases of flight: Use of face mask.
3. Upon arrival: All passengers exceeding 5 years old must take the PCR-RT test at the airport.
4. The measures of the Biosecurity Protocols related to social distancing, protection elements and hand hygiene remain in force.

More countries authorized for regular flights

Iran and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have been added to the list of countries authorized for commercial passenger and cargo flights; Conviasa currently serves these two destinations. Nations with permitted air operations in Venezuela also include Panama, Russia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Turkey, Cuba, Bolivia, Spain, and Portugal.

  • Flight V0 3722 CCS 16:00 – IKA 14:00 Saturday.
  • Flight V0 3723 IKA 05:30 – CCS 10:30 Saturday.

The flights will be operated in Embraer E190 with a capacity of 104 passengers.

Flight Itinerary from Conviasa to Tehran, Iran (IKA)
  • Flight V0 3750 CCS 16:00 – IKA 14:00+1
  • Flight V0 3751 IKA 05:30 – CCS 10:30+1

Flights will be operated every 15 days and will be operated by Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
