This Saturday (14) at 12:03 a.m. local time, United Airlines‘ inaugural flight to Ponta Delgada, Portugal, took off from Newark Liberty International Airport. The company will have three weekly services with the Boeing 737 MAX 8, configured for 166 passengers.
Ponta Delgada is the company’s third destination in Portugal, after Lisbon and Porto.
United will offer non-stop service for the first time between the two cities. According to the reservation system, operations will be available until September the 29th, as it is seasonal.
