Safran signs a NacelleLife services contract with VIVA

As part of MRO America 2022 Safran Nacelles signed a 10-year service contract with VIVA, for its fleet of Airbus A320neo with CFM International LEAP-1A engines.

The ultra low cost will have access to a large shared stock of Airbus A320neo family spare parts while benefiting from maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions – Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul – MRO – OEM warranties at its repair stations.

This contract offers OEM warranties and is carried out within the framework of the NacelleLife support and services offered, which brings together all Safran Nacelles’ after-sales activities and aims to ensure responsively, high quality and timely services.

At the moment, Hawaiian Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Egyptair, Kuwait Airways, Sri Lankan Airlines, Avianca, Azul, Lufthansa Technik and Corsair count on NacelleLife’s services.

«We are happy to support VIVA in its maintenance operations for its A320neo,» said Alain Berger, Director of Support and Services at Safran Nacelles.

Berger stated that Safran Nacelles teams will be able to perform VIVA’s work in the repair shop in Indianapolis, USA, which is fully equipped to support the airline in its daily life.

«Our young A320neo fleet needs all the support and expertise of an OEM like Safran Nacelles, to keep our aircraft operating at the highest level of quality and perform the necessary interventions as soon as possible,» said Jhon Luna, Director of Engineering and Maintenance at VIVA.

VIVA currently has eleven Airbus A320neo aircraft out of an order of 35 aircraft, which will replace the remaining nine Airbus A320ceo aircraft in its fleet, based in Medellin (MDE) and Bogota (BOG).
