Frontier Airlines launches new Chicago – Midway routes

-

Yesterday, Thursday (April 28), Frontier Airlines inaugurated 8 of 11 new routes from Chicago – Midway Airport (MDW). According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, the low-cost carrier will offer 20,414 seats per week on 55 weekly flights at MDW during the northern summer season.

The company will continue to operate from Chicago O’Hare (ORD). To celebrate its arrival at MDW, Frontier will offer promotional fares starting at $59 to several popular destinations within the United States.

«With this inaugural service, MDW becomes our Chicago hub airport. We also continue to offer service from O’Hare, giving Chicago-area consumers a wealth of options to enjoy Frontier’s ultra-low fares and friendly service,» said Joshua Rashkin, chief marketing officer for Frontier Airlines.

«Travelers now have two airport options, O’Hare and Midway, to fly Frontier and visit the ‘Windy City,’ voted America’s Best Big City by Conde Nast Traveler for the fifth consecutive year,» said Jamie L. Rhee, Commissioner of Aviation for the city of Chicago.
