Flair Airlines will have flights to Tucson, Arizona

-

Flair Airlines will connect five Canadian cities with Tucson (TUS) next winter, with new seasonal services. The airline will be the largest low-cost carrier between Arizona and Canada, offering more than 20,000 seats per month on more than one hundred air operations.

The company will offer non-stop service to Tucson from Fort McMurray (YMM) and Lethbridge (YQL) in Alberta, Prince George (YXS) in British Columbia, and Windsor (YQG) in Ontario. The company will also reach Tucson from Canada’s fifth major airport in Edmonton (YEG), which is the capital of the province of Alberta and home to 1,8 million people. From Edmonton, Flair already operates a service to Phoenix (PHX).

“We are excited to partner with Flair and Visit Tucson to add nonstop flights to and from Canada,” said Danette Bewley, president and CEO of the Tucson Airport Authority.

Visit Tucson actively collaborated in helping to secure these new services for the northern winter season through a marketing campaign.

“Basing winter operations in Tucson, Arizona, offers an exciting new option for Canadians. We know Canadians in communities across the country will be eager to bask in the winter sun in Tucson. With consistent service for years to come, we believe this is the beginning of a great annual tradition for Canadians,” said Garth Lund, chief commercial officer for Flair Airlines.

The new flights will begin in late November and will be operated on 189-seat Boeing 737-8 aircraft in a single configuration. Fares are available starting at $99 CAD/$79 USD, the most affordable to fly between Arizona and Canada, and tickets are on sale now at the airline’s website.
