American Airlines expands flights from Dublin

American Airlines expands operations from Dublin (DUB) with the return of three seasonal summer services to Charlotte (CLT), Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW), all operated with daily flights. The additional carrier offers year-round service to Philadelphia (PHL).

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, for this summer season, America’s largest airline will have an offering of 13,650 seats per week across fifty-six air operations, recovering 96.2% of capacity from 2019 levels.

Flight Itinerary

Dublin (DUB) – Charlotte (CLT)
  • Flight AA724 CLT 16:45 – DUB 05:20+1
  • Flight AA725 DUB 11:15 – CLT 14:30

The flights will be operated on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with 273 seats in three classes, representing an increase of more than 10% over the pre-pandemic capacity offered. In 2019, this route carried 77,220 passengers.

Dublin (DUB) – Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)
  • Flight AA132 DFW 19:10 – DUB 10:05+1
  • Flight AA133 DUB 14:55 – DFW 18:35

The flights will be operated on 234-passenger Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft in three classes, currently this service is the only non-stop operation between Texas and Ireland. Prior to the pandemic, this route carried 53,972 passengers.

Dublin (DUB) – Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
  • Flight AA208 ORD 22:10 – DUB 11:40+1
  • Flight AA209 DUB 09:30 – ORD 11:30

Flights will be operated on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. In 2019 this route moved 487,147 passengers, Chicago (ORD) is Ireland’s second main transatlantic destination.

Dublin (DUB) – Philadelphia (PHL).
  • Flight AA722 PHL 18:00 – DUB 05:35+1
  • Flight AA723 DUB 13:55 – PHL 15:55

Flights will be operated on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. Prior to the pandemic this route served 243,010 passengers: the Irish capital is Philadelphia Airport’s (PHL) second busiest European destination.

Charlotte, Dallas, Chicago, and Philadelphia are among the 180 destinations offered from Dublin (DUB), the Irish airport hopes to restore global connectivity, following the detrimental impact due to COVID-19. The United States is Ireland’s largest long-haul market.
