Air Europa resumes flights to Salvador de Bahia

After an absence of 33 months, Air Europa resumes operations between Madrid (MAD) and Salvador de Bahia (SSA) as of December 21, 2022 with two weekly flights. The airline’s last operation on this route was on March 28, 2020.

Flight Itinerary

  • Madrid – Salvador de Bahia Flight UX 83 MAD 15:25 – SSA 20:30 Wednesday and Friday.
  • Salvador de Bahia – Madrid Flight UX 84 SSA 22:33 – MAD 11:25+1 Wednesday and Friday.

Flights will be operated in Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 291 seats. Promotional fares start at USD 394 each way.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas indicate that in 2019 between Madrid and Salvador Da Bahia 78,331 passengers and 2,383.5 tons of cargo were mobilized in 313 air operations, it was the third most important route between Spain and Brazil, where Globalia’s airline was the only operator.

For the month of December, Air Europa will offer 5,910 seats per week to two destinations in Brazil. The company will offer a daily flight from the Spanish capital to São Paulo – Guarulhos (GRU) in a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, in addition to its service to the Bahian capital.

For the time being, services to Fortaleza (FOR) and Recife (REC) will be suspended until the 2023 summer season.
