Aeromexico set to increase its fleet to 147 aircraft

During the celebration of the Tianguis Turístico 2022, Mexico’s most important event in this sector, which this year is being held in Acapulco, Aeromexico announced at a press conference its main activities as the flagship airline of the Aztec country.

The airline said that the company’s best investments are focused on the consolidation of a fleet of younger and more fuel-efficient aircraft, in addition to increasing the number of units above the number they had prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. In January of this year the company had 122 planes, in May it reached 133 and plans to incorporate an additional 14 aircraft during the remainder of the year to end with 147 aircraft.

«We will end this year with a larger fleet than we had in 2019. Increasingly modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly. That allows us to increase our connectivity network inside and outside the country,» said Rodrigo Sandoval, Grupo Aeromexico’s Director of Banking and Loyalty.

«But we also continue to transform ourselves with strong investments in digital strategies, adapting our fare families, increasing the offer of travel packages with Aeromexico Vacations, providing more benefits with Club Premier and innovating with Aeromexico Cargo,» added Sandoval.
