Viva officially announced Pablo Madriñán as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for the Viva Group.

This nomination is due to his outstanding management as Viva’s Strategy Director, a determining role in the Group’s growth and international expansion.

In a press release, the airline indicated that Madriñán assumes the Group’s Commercial Chief Office in the same year that it celebrates its fifth anniversary in Peru and its tenth in Colombia, with the conviction of maintaining its leadership as the most efficient, punctual, and affordable ‘Super Low Cost’ airline.

“Pablo Madriñán is the ideal person to maintain our differentials, as well as promote the commitment to air inclusion with affordable prices for all and consolidate our growth and expansion in the Connection Center – HUB Medellín”, commented Félix Antelo, Viva Group’s CEO.

Madriñán assumes the Commercial Chief Office to continue adding value to the important processes in the areas of Network Planning, Revenue, Additional Services, Sales, Marketing and the Projects and Alliances office.

He has more than 11 years of experience in the airline industry, holding important positions at LATAM Airlines and Tap Air Portugal, leading high-level teams in the areas of Network Planning and Strategy, as well as Revenue Management and Pricing.

Madriñán is also an Industrial Engineer from Universidad de los Andes and has an MBA from IE Business School.

Viva operates 46 domestic routes in Colombia and Peru, and 13 international routes to the United States, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Argentina.

In its 10 years of history, the carrier has transported more than 31 million passengers and in 2021 it made Medellín official as its HUB and Connections Center for its domestic and international operations.
