FlyExclusive to order up to 30 Cessna Citation CJ3+

FlyExclusive has placed an order for up to thirty Cessna Citation CJ3+ aircraft. The first five aircraft are expected to be delivered to the buyer in 2023, with the option to purchase additional aircraft for deliveries through 2025.

With this purchase order, the executive charter company establishes itself as one of the world’s leading Citation operators. Its fleet currently includes the Citation X, Citation Sovereign, Citation Excel/XLS, Citation CJ3 and Citation Encore.

Ron Draper, President and CEO of Textron Aviation, said the order «brings the efficiency and comfort of the Citation CJ3+ to a new audience of customers through flyExclusive’s programs».

Jim Segrave, founder and President of flyExclusive, commented: «The addition of these new CJ3+ aircraft will allow us to expand our capabilities to support our continuing growth as one of the largest private jet charter operators in the industry».

About the Cessna Citation CJ3+

According to the manufacturer, the model offers one of the best acquisition and operating costs in its segment. It is certified to fly with a single pilot and can carry up to nine passengers and more than 1,000 pounds of baggage. Its range is up to almost 2,040 nautical miles. On average, it consumes 10% less fuel than similar aircraft and its hourly maintenance cost is 5% lower.

Cessna Citation aircraft lead the world’s light jet market, with more than 5,000 units delivered.
