Aerolíneas Argentinas presents the «Corredor Atlántico»

As we announced in February, Aerolíneas Argentinas presented this Tuesday (19) in Mar del Plata the Atlantic Corridor (or Corredor Atlántico with its Spanish name), which connects Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca, Trelew, Comodoro Rivadavia and Río Gallegos.

Under flight number 1608, it will take off from Aeroparque at 8.50 a.m. to arrive in Mar del Plata one hour later, then at 10.30 a.m. it will continue its journey to Bahía Blanca, leaving again at 1.30 p.m. for Trelew, from where it will depart at 2.10 p.m. for Comodoro Rivadavia and from there, to its final destination in Río Gallegos at 3.50 p.m.

The presentation was attended by the governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, together with the company’s president, Pablo Ceriani, and the directors Fabián Lombardo and Ariel Ciano.

«Today we once again have a flag carrier that is equal and that makes decisions that contribute to the economy and quality of life in Mar del Plata, the Atlantic Coast and the entire province of Buenos Aires,» said Kicillof.

Meanwhile, Ceriani said that «this corridor has a truly federal character and will serve for the tourist and business development of all the cities that integrate it without passengers having to go through Buenos Aires to travel around the country,» Ceriani said.

In addition, the company confirmed that the routes linking Mar del Plata with Cordoba and Mendoza stopped being seasonal from April to become regular routes.

Besides the aforementioned routes, Aerolíneas Argentinas operates flights from Rosario and Tucumán to Mar del Plata during the months corresponding to the high summer season.
