Tailwind Air seaplanes return to skies between Manhattan and Boston Harbor on March 21

-

On March 21st, Tailwind Air’s list of nonstop daily seaplane destinations, including Boston Harbor, East Hampton, Bridgeport, Manhattan, Montauk, and Shelter Island, will resume service. Additionally, Tailwind Air will open a Plymouth, Massachusetts (PYM) route.

Tailwind Air conveniently adds a second departure/arrival location in Boston. Travelers arriving in Boston can now be dropped off by water taxi at the Fan Pier Marina in the Seaport District or the Rowes Wharf Ferry Terminal in the Financial District.

“This seaplane season, which runs March 21-December 20, Tailwind Air continues on our mission to provide easier access to urban cores, bypassing congested airports,” begins Peter Manice, co-founder and Director of Scheduled Services for Tailwind Air. “As our team expands to more markets and increases flight frequencies, business and leisure travelers in the Northeastern region can look forward to saving time with Tailwind Air—the fastest, and most convenient way to travel from downtown to downtown.”

To begin the season, Tailwind will fly up to three nonstop flights daily on weekdays, and two flights on weekends. Starting on May 1, flight frequency between Boston and Manhattan will increase to four times daily.
