Saudia Arabian Airlines started selling its direct flights from Jeddah (JED) and Riyadh (RUH) to Barcelona (BCN), Spain. It will be its second destination in Spain after Madrid (MAD), where it flies from Jeddah (JED).
Saudia announced earlier this year that it will add ten new destinations to its network during 2022: Beijing (PEK), China; Seoul (ICN), South Korea; Malaga (AGP), Spain; Chicago (ORD), United States; Marrakech (RAK), Morocco; Amsterdam (AMS), Netherlands; Moscow (SVO), Russia; Bangkok (BKK), Thailand; Entebbe (EBB), Uganda; and the Barcelona route.
The company will fly from Riyadh starting July 4 with two weekly operations (Mondays and Thursdays) on Boeing 787-9 aircraft with capacity for 298 passengers, offering 1,198 seats per week.

On the other hand, from Jeddah will start from July 5 also with two weekly operations (Tuesdays and Saturdays), with the same aircraft and seats as Riyadh.

At the time of writing, Malaga is not yet available on Saudia website.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through AENA, 68,180 passengers were mobilized between Saudi Arabia and Spain in 2019.
