LATAM postpones flight resumption to Easter Island

-

LATAM Airlines confirmed in a press release that it is suspending the resumption of flights between Santiago de Chile and Easter Island. Operations have been cancelled since March 2020, due to the fact that the island is closed to tourism as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are currently no flights available in the reservation system, although LATAM plans to resume operations between Santiago and Easter Island as of July 1st. As before the Coronavirus, services will be on the Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, with capacity for 247 and 313 passengers respectively.

Schedule to and from Easter Island

These flights are available on the Cirium aeronautical intelligence platform. There may be modifications in the operations during the next few weeks, as it depends on the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 on the island.
